Sailing course in Croatia!
This year, Trip is launching a new type of sailing course in the blue waters of Croatia! Participants have the opportunity to choose either a basic or an advanced sailing course.
The Sailing Crew course is for beginners and the goal is to learn the skills needed for being a member of the crew on a sailing boat.
No sailing experience or navigation theory knowledge is required. The course provides basic sailing skills including knowledge of terms, ropework, sail handling, boat handling, steering, weather forecasts and general safety on boats.
The course is organized alongside with TripVenture and the departure port is Dubrovnik.
At least Finnair flies to Dubrovnik, but also other airlines. The trip can also be combined with self-guided travel before or after.

Expenses
Course price €699 student/€799 graduate.
The reservation fee of €280 is paid within two weeks of registration, the final payment is invoiced in June.
The price includes boat rental, bed linen, final cleaning and depot insurance for the boat. Other costs: the boat community’s food, diesel and other supplies are paid by each boat community themselves. Flights and other trips to the boats are arranged by everyone.
Note! Registration is binding. The reservation fee will not be refunded if no new participant can be found. The organization of the course will be confirmed once the course is fully booked.

Info about the trip
The participant bears the risk related to possible travel restrictions. If the participant decides or has to for any reason (e.g. coronavirus infection or other illness) cancel their participation in the sailing, Teekkaripurjehtijat will not return the already paid reservation fee or the final participation fee back to the participant. The participant can himself find another participant to sell his place on the course to. Teekkaripurjehtijat also advises participants to obtain travel insurance. If Teekkaripurjehtijat decides to cancel the sailing due to a compelling reason (e.g. due to the coronavirus situation), Teekkaripurjehtijat will refund the paid reservation and participation fees in full to the participants, but will not reimburse cancellation or other costs arising from possible ancillary costs, such as flights or accommodation. Sailing will be organized if the prevailing situation allows it.
